The original concept for this project came from Robert Pohl and his .NetSCORM site. There is a full discussion board and additional articles on his site. The DotNetSCORM™ project was started to further the efforts of this project.

The original DotNetSCORM™ work used technology from TinyLMS for client side functionality thanks to the support of Werner Randelshofer. We have redesigned the application to utilize the Microsoft Learning Components (MLC) that are part of the SharePoint Learning Kit.

Thanks to Microsoft for the awesome .NET Framework!

Welcome to DotNetSCORM™
Click Here to Learn More About the DotNetSCORM™ FrameworkThe purpose of the DotNetSCORM™ project is to create an Open Source Learning Management System using .Net technologies. There are currently several SCORM compliant Learning Management System’s written in Java and PHP. These are mostly based upon the ADL Sample RTE. However due to the technologies used they can not be tightly integrated into the Windows Server environment. Therefore this projects goal is create a SCORM Compliant LMS to serve as a model for further development and use of the SCORM standard on the Windows Platform.

Moving Forward! - - Sunday, November 09, 2008

We are working hard and forging ahead with development of the Beta release and have made some good progress. There are some very exciting capabilities on the horizon with the DotNetSCORM™ project and we are just getting started. We have the opportunity to really push the envelope with development and implementation methodologies. We have a core that will facilitate extending DotNetSCORM™ regardless of language C#, VB, J# all under the .NET environment. This will also allow us to port the DotNetSCORM™ LMS to other platforms and tightly integrate with Web Portals such as (PHP Nuke, Joomba, Etc...) We currently have a working DotNetNuke version that will also be available once we release the v1.0 Standalone.
So many Exciting things coming in the future with DotNetSCORM™!

Thank you all for your support, we truly appreciate it!
